At Gonville School, where we strive each day,
Room 6 leads in a caring way.
With kindness and patience, they stand so tall,
Helping Room 1 feel welcome to all.
At lunchtime they sit, so calm and neat,
Showing the juniors how to eat.
“Chew with your mouth closed, take your time,
Enjoy your kai—it’s perfectly fine!”
Inside is the place where relationships grow.
Room 6 steps up, with puzzles and games,
Teaching the little ones rules and aims.
“Take turns, be gentle, share with care,
Include everyone, be fair and aware.”
They build tall towers, they draw and create,
Showing patience—no rush, just wait!
At Gonville School, we stand as a team,
Helping each other to learn and dream.
With "Leap into Learning" as our guide,
Room 6 walks with Room 1, side by side.
So thank you, big leaders, for all that you do,
The tamariki of Room 1 look up to you!
In tuakana teina, together we grow.
